Export Procedures & Documentation

October 1 @ 9:30 am 4:30 pm

Topics covered:

  • The roles of HMRC
  • The relevance of trusted trader schemes
  • The role of origin documents
  • Import reliefs and guarantees
  • Proof of removal for VAT reconciliation
  • The need for Intrastat declarations
  • Essential information on customs declarations
  • The basis of import duty calculation

Customs procedures are designed to manage and regulate the movement of goods through our borders. Compliance with these procedures requires the submission of accurate documentation.

The trader therefore needs to be aware of the detailed requirements for completion and HMRC expect traders to have robust procedures for the checking of the documentation. Traders who demonstrate compliance with these requirements have the option to apply for a trusted trader status that will reward them with access to “fast-track” and more economic border procedures.

This interactive online workshop combines theory and practice. We use company examples to illustrate how the techniques presented have been applied in real case studies.

The purpose is to use a mix of proven learning techniques to ensure maximum understanding, comprehension and retention of the information presented.
